Transforming Individual Lives Today, Inc., based in Menomonie, WI, continues the work of Alec Johnson who grew up there and who died in an accident in 2014. In the past several years, TILT has put more than 100 students in Uganda through high school or trade school, helped improve farming methods in the country, provided resources to local schools there for teaching tailoring and other vocational skills, and created small cooperative clubs called Village Savings and Loan Associations that provide economic sustainability by growing and sharing capital from their profits. Every dollar contributed to TILT is tax-deductible and goes to support and expand these programs. None of the contributions are used for administrative expenses.
