The LW Town Council voted a resolution commending PHC. They aren't that crazy about OK's essays. Merle wanted to send a delegation to the 10th anniversary broadcast. V announcers asked when PHC was going on TV. No polite answer. PHC is an anachronism in the TV age.TV coverage of the LW living flag display. Success has its price, like winning the pie-eating contest. The LW Whippets are 7-2 and in 2nd place in the Old Sod Shanty League. They have never been more worried. GK has been very lucky. He remembers when he was unemployed in New York and he saw a beautiful woman walking towards him. To impress her, he put a dime in a parking meter next to a Cadillac convertible. She said "Thank you" "as she got in and drove away. The audience is the beautiful woman and PHC is the Cadillac.
OK's bad taste were gifts from other friends. Themes from .old radio shows. Happy birthday to E. B. White. Songs from the golden age of the St. Paul theater district.
